Primary Design & Technology Project

During the autumn term a group of Gifted & Talented IT students from Bamford Primary School attended a series of sessions at Rochdale CLC to develop a D&T project aimed at supporting a school 'poster' and 'signage' theme. The KS 1 and 2 pupils were aged between 5 and 10 years old. During their visits they worked on creating a range of designs using CorelDraw software which were eventually cut and engraved from acrylic which were then installed in their play areas at the school.

Pupils also had fun taking photographs of themselves and then manipulating the digital images using Adobe Photoshop to create layered pictures. Some of these images were then used along with pictures they had taken in school to create a 2m tall panel for the school reception. This was then printed onto vinyl courtesy of Redwood Special School.
