Training Suite 1
(TR1 at Rochdale CLC and Kilby at Middleton CLC)

This fully refurbished room consists of twenty 20" iMacs and access to the latest Apple software technology courtesy of iLife - allowing users to edit, author and burn video with iMovie and iDVD, manipulate images using iPhoto and create podcasts and record music courtesy of GarageBand.

Users benefit from the added bonus of Apple's dual-boot capability which allows users to access Windows XP (and the remainder of the CLC network) on the iMacs creating a truly flexible suite.

The air conditioned room also benefits from an interactive whiteboard (Smart 680i), digital scanner, colour laser printer, video and DVD presentation facilities including Dolby surround sound. A range of multi-media software is also available including Adobe Photoshop, Pinnacle Studio and Macromedia Studio 8.

Training Suite 2 (TR2 at Rochdale and Berners-Lee at Middleton)

This fully refurbished multi-purpose room allows for up to 20 users to access high specification MacBook Pro machines and a range of multimedia software. The air conditioned room also benefits from an interactive whiteboard (Smart 680i), digital scanner, colour laser printer, video and DVD presentation facilities including Dolby surround sound. Training rooms 1 and 2 are separated by a ‘sound-proof’ partition wall which can be retracted to allow for groups sizes up to 40 users.
